The Boise Pulmonary Care Clinic is looking to hire a team-oriented and personable part-time Medical Assistantto support an established Provider!
About the MA Position:
This position will work in a care team environment where you will be the primary MA for the provider, but will work closely with 1-2 other MAs and RN to support all the providers in the pod. This position will be a combination of direct patient care (rooming, vitals, oxygen titration, vaccinations) and administrative tasks such as processing orders, patient phone calls, prior authorizations and referrals.
If you enjoy working in a team environment and multi-tasking, have a calm and fun demeanor, and don't mind some paperwork this is the position for you!
Work Schedule: This position will work 28 hours per week, Mondays (7:30am - 4:00pm), and Tuesdays/Thursdays, 7:30am - 6:00pm.
About Pulmonary Medicine Services:
Saint Alphonsus Pulmonary Services is proud to treat pulmonary patients in Boise and the surrounding communities offering high-quality compassionate personalized pulmonary care. Our board-certified pulmonary physicians serve critically ill patients, from children to adults within the hospital and in their outpatient clinic. The outpatient clinic specializes in treating individuals with acute, chronic and recurring conditions of the respiratory system.

Education and Certification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Technologists (RMA)
- National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
- American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
- Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred.
