Requirements With drive, passion and high standards, you might join them from the NHS or a private setting. Qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. Post-registration experience. Ophthalmic trained Flexible with working hours - long days, early and late shifts. Great communication with patients and the multidisciplinary team Work closely with leading consultants and other like-minded professionals, who will respect and value what you bring to the close-knit multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Enjoy opportunities to work on a varied caseload using technology, equipment and facilities, which are all state-of-the-art. Ensure practice is up to date and evidence based in line with NICE guidance. Maintain education and training in ophthalmology topics so that you and the nurses working there are competent in any new techniques. Be responsible for the delivery of care throughout the pre-operative patients. Assist Consultants with other minor procedures. Carry out nurse led pre-operative assessments prior to ophthalmic surgery.
